Positive: Staff in restaurant were great, friendly, helpful and caring. Food was first rate. Room was good, generally. The staff in the restaurant saved the stay from being a total thumbs down along with good food.

Negative: Was a little disappointed that breakfast on a Saturday did not start until 10.00hrs. Too late for someone on a work trip and someone travelling over 500miles on that day. No reduction in price of stay was allowed. Attitude of receptionist a little un-helpful. Also the mattress on the bed was very thin and worn and was not comfortable. Near to my room was a function which was noisy and I only had about 4 hours sleep do to the noise. Shame, as my stay could have been so much better if some better customer care had been considered, I feel.

Summary: Great food, nice setting and (most) of the staff were great !
