Positive: The location is good, just at the banks of the Inari lake.

Negative: There is a walking of about 250-300 meters in a complete knee level snow from the main road to the property.

Positive: A beautiful remote place to stay – by Lake Inari with a huge sky above, if you are interested in hunting auroras. The cabin is small (therefore easier to heat in winter) and equipped for literally every occasion. There are fresh bed sheets and plenty of warm blankets. You have to find your way around making fire, using a gas stove, etc & you have to be willing to learn new things (like drilling water from the lake was for us). And do take the time and the trouble of heating up the sauna, it is well worth it, even in -15C & with the floor slightly frozen. Experiment with the smaller ladle, dashes of hot water on the rocks will give you one of the nicest sauna experiences imaginable – higher up, of course. There are quite a few nice hiking trails nearby and two birdwatching towers.
