Positive: For our interests, the location was fantastic. It is close to the Kyushu Ceramics Museum and several food options, one of which was recommended by our host.

Negative: We found sleeping on tatami mats okay but some people might find it challenging if they have back conditions.

Summary: The room was a calming environment and helped by a generous host.

Positive: Most beautiful stay I’ve stayed in thus far. Very thoughtful design. Can’t believe it’s already 10 years old. Beautiful Arita-yaki for use in the kitchen. Coffee shop and curated porcelain shop at the 1st floor really made this a great stay. Takashi-san provided great suggestions and even accompanied us to some Arita sights!

Negative: I hope we could have stayed longer an overnight! Hope to be back! Body lotion would be a great addition in the toiletries :)

Positive: Cosy clean accommodation above a cute cafe/pottery shop - conveniently near to the station. It was better in real life than the photos! Super spacious too. Takashi-san was so friendly and warm - even sending us off with little gifts the next day. (PS: all the bakes at the cafe are homemade) We enjoyed our stay so much we didn't want to leave!

Positive: Gorgeous property with plenty of space and a comfortable atmosphere. Super close to Arita train station and to local transit. It was very easy to feel right at home. The host is extremely responsive, friendly, and happy to share local knowledge on places to visit around Arita. I would happily stay here again.

Positive: Ideal in every sense - there is nothing remotely comparable in Arita. On every level, an ideal location to stay. If you are interested in ceramics, well, welcome to heaven on earth. Absolutely brilliant. The price might seem a bit high but you get what you pay for - in this case, a five star boutique experience that is unmatched in this part of Kyushu. The perfect host, the perfect space.

Summary: I don't normally review places where I have stayed, but this was wonderful - absolutely perfect.

Positive: The breakfast and location is exceptional. We were welcomed very warmly by Takeshi. He is an amazing host who is very well traveled! The room was well ventilated and very tastefully decorated. There were a few art pieces and the floral pieces in the room were also very tasteful. The ceramics used in the shop and in the room were also very lovely. Thank you for such a wonderful, clean, and comfortable stay. Keep in mind while you CAN see a washing machine in the room, it is not for guest use. We were also offered cakes and tea during our stay for free. They were very tasty and the breakfast was also very filling and delicious. It made me feel very comfortable and happy. Takeshi also helped us carry our luggage to our room. We are very grateful for his generosity.

Negative: Nothing. It was a great stay. Highly recommend

Summary: I fell in love with Arita partially because of this wonderful place.
