Positive: Beautiful village and villagers and the house just made it so lovely for us. Virginia really made us feel welcome and loved after and checked on us throughout. We had a lovely Christmas and new year and will definitely be back with our family

Positive: This was the most fantastic place we ever stayed in Greece. What a view! And the village was so peacefull, and everyone so kind and helpfull. Virginia really cared for her guests, and we felt we were family. Perfect appartement with eveything we needed. And even more... Virginia had filled the fridge with a whole metal. Thank you!! We can only recommend this wonderful appartement. We will always remember the golden moments we had at the terrace of Il Silenzio.

Positive: What a gem of a place! The location is blissfully quiet and the village characterful with friendly locals. The views are gorgeous! There's a handy mini mart 2 mins away and a great taverna too. It's not 100 per cent clear in the listing but there are 2 apartments, upstairs and downstairs, which are rented out separately. You could cross over with other guests as we did at the start and end of our stay BUT it did not detract from the stay and was just a minor disappointment. We stayed in the upstairs apartment and it is just like in the pictures, small but clean and comfortable and it has everything you need. The big upstairs terrace at the back was my favourite place to sit. The kitchen was fully equipped even with olive oil and balsamic vinegar which I was amazed by! The only thing missing was an oven glove but after a quick message to Virginia one was provided. Virginia also provided a million recommendations of places to visit which was brilliant. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay here again. I didn't want to leave.

Negative: The bed was on the soft side but that's purely personal preference.

Positive: A traditional house with all the necessary equipment to feel at home in an authentic Cretan village. Several times we had dinners at the Alexandras cafe, the best place to eat (in terms of quality/price) that I encountered in a month of exploring Crete. For those who value peace and comfort, this is the ideal place.
