Positive: The owner, Silvio, is on hand for anything you need. He was exceptionally helpful and we felt at home right away. The accommodation was amazingly well appointed in the style of a five star boutique hotel.

Positive: Beautiful house overlooking the rolling hills of Montevarchi. It is situated in a quiet area but within walking distance from a larger food store. Well equiped kitchen, nice porch outside to sit and enjoy an espresso in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Everything in the apartment feels nice and clean and the property is very well managed. I had no problem finding parking close to the apartment. When things go wrong during the vacation is when you want a man like Silvio to be your landlord. I had an accident on my bicycle and ended up in the hospital and Silvio took time and came down to the emergency room to help translate, support me and drive me home. He also found out where my bicycle ended up and brought it home to me. I am sure Silvio leaves no guest behind and he is a generous, kind and helpful person. I really enjoyed my stay at Il Sassello and I hope to come back some time.

Positive: This is a beautiful space. Everything is new and perfect, recently renovated by the owner with great care. Even though we reserved at the last minute, our host took great care to communicate with us and meet us upon arrival. He took excellent care of us, gifted us a bottle of wine from a neighboring vineyard and brought us biscotti and vin santo for dessert. The house was sparkling clean, has great A/C and a well stocked kitchen. We ended up here somewhat unexpectedly ao didn't have time to explore the area but the view from the terrace was lovely and we got great pizza just down the road. Exceptional value and would highly recommend Il Sassetto.

Positive: We stayed at this property for 10 nights, and it was perfect for a longer stay. The location is excellent – you get to experience the authentic atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside, while still being within easy reach of places like Florence and Siena for day trips. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The host was extremely friendly and handled everything professionally. We warmly recommend this place to everyone!
