Positive: Il Palazzino is in a perfect location where you can walk to all the main parts of Taranto and you have a sea view. It is small and quirky with all the amenities you need and Guido the host was extremely helpful and sent links for restaurants and activities.

Negative: It is a small one bed studio with a bed on a mezzanine just below the ceiling so it is easy to bang your head getting in and out of bed! Also the ceiling is very low in the bathroom with the same issues.

Positive: Place is perfect for a couple, it is in the old town of Taranto facing the fishermen's Quay on the Piccolo Mare. The apartment was very comfortable and was close to many of the main attractions in Taranto. The host gave us a number of good recommendations regarding where to eat and things to do. The apartment has a great sun terrace to watch the activities of the fishermen' and others going about their daily business!

Negative: Some of the old town is more run down than some "centro storico's" in other Italian towns.This was not an issue for us but may not be to everyone's taste.

Positive: The apartment is located in between run down buildngs but it has been tastefully renovated, is bright and clean. Best bit was roof terrace overlooking fishing boats. Lots of activity and amazing view. Located in real Italy - not a tourist spot. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Great pizzas from place under house.

Negative: The entrance is up an alley and is a bit off-putting. There are lots of steps inside so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or small children.

Summary: Host kept in touch on Whattsapp. This place was perfect for our needs. Quirky.

Positive: The facility manager, Mr. Guido, is a beyond wonderful person. He helped us tirelessly in every matter. He is extremely kind and knowledgeable on every subject. To summarize briefly, if my own brother was living in Taranto, he could only help so much. Thank you a thousand times, Guido. The rooms and facilities were great. If you want to be enchanted by watching the sea from the balcony of your centrally located room, this is the only place to stay.

Positive: Carefully renovated house from the 17th century. Inside, all modern comforts. The apartment on the second floor is connected to a wonderful roof terrace. A view of the fishing port very close and far to the horizon (approx. 30 km!). If you are lucky, you will see a military submarine in a nearby port. A wonderful, helpful host. On the ground floor there is a pizzeria with real, delicious pizza. If you want to use the beach and explore the area, you will need a car. It's worth getting lost in the area: bars, pubs, restaurants, a labyrinth of narrow medieval streets. Authentic southern Italian surroundings and inhabitants. If you are looking for real Italy: you will find it here!

Positive: The apartment has good view of the harbor. It was close to central area and restaurants. Beds were comfortable. The host was very responsive and helpful.

Negative: Parking was challenge. Lacks deck furniture. Head space over the bed in the lower unit was very low. The stove in the lower apartment did not work.
