Positive: In one word: AMAZING. The property is so beautiful, with a lot of outdoor spots to sit in the evening and enjoy the view. Breakfast was great, with a nice variety. Though the building is historical, the rooms are equipped with modern facilities. Above all, the family staff is so welcoming and make you feel at home, personally attending to each guest. Oh, and the wine (which you can also find in a lot of restaurants nearby) and the olive oil are excellent!
Negative: That we couldn't stay longer ;)

Positive: Every rave review of Il Palagione is accurate. This is a truly special place; location, staff, food, communication. The attention to detail was also spectacular - the scent of the luxurious soaps, the cozy extra blankets, the drink amenities in the room, the privacy screens in the hallway - you can feel the pride and care that Monica and Giorgio put into their home and property and into their guest's experience. Sitting on the patio with a glass of wine overlooking the view was a complete life highlight. I would love to return one day!
Negative: Loved everything.
Summary: Tuscan perfection!

Positive: This was the perfect place to wind up our holiday in Italy. Monica and Giorgio and their family are the most gracious and helpful hosts, truly they are in the right business. We looked forward to the bountiful breakfast each morning, always prepared with smiles, and Giorgio stopping in to answer all our questions about the area. David's recommendations for dinner were appreciated, as was the wine tasting presented by Martina and enjoyed on the outdoor terrace. We have warm memories of Il Palagione and are happy to recommend them to travelers to Tuscany.
Negative: Nothing to improve upon in our view.
