Positive: The staff were super friendly and accommodating and all spoke excellent English. The location was nice, close to the ruins on the Palatine hill and the viewpoint at the Orange Garden, which was sadly under maintenance during this visit, but also close to the river and lovely streets off the main roads up to Piazza Venezia and on into the heart of the city. There was a collection of bars, cafes and restaurants within 2 minutes walk. A charming courtyard provides a spot to rest out of the sun and away from the noise of traffic. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided and the air conditioning was very effective. A sitting room was available downstairs for awaiting taxis etc after checkout and they stored our bags all day.

Negative: The room sizes varied considerably and ours was quite small. There was also a musty smell, possibly fro the curtains and the quilt was a little stained. Note that there is no elevator, no restaurant and no bar. The courtyard would have been enhanced by the facility to purchase wine and snacks, but unless there is a weekend market, this is not available. And when there is a market, the courtyard is bustling and crowded and it is hard to find a seat. There is also a terrace looking over the Circo Massimo, but again no facility to purchase drinks etc and no chairs or tables. The road noise is also a problem on the terrace.

Positive: Good location near Circus Maximus. Lovely private courtyard. The receptionist Ludovica was most helpful when we arrived early for our check in.

Negative: The room was on the smaller side.

Positive: It was in a very convenient spot, lots going on with the events around and in the location, above all very quiet. Reception staff were excellent, best reception staff I have met in a long time, we were there two weeks and if anything could have gone wrong it would have during that time but no 100% recommend and if we were to visit Rome again we would definitely stay there again.
