Summary: Wonderfull retreat, calm and back in the mountains. Simple but full of charakter. Sergio is a very friendly and very obliging host. Highly recommended

Summary: We spent two weeks in this house during a period in which it was very hot in the region. The house was always welcoming cool when we came back from our day trips. The house has a good ancient feel about it. We cooked dinner every night using the BBQ in the garden. The evenings are wonderful with the sounds of the birds and the light of the hundreds of fireflies (sometimes they are on vacation..). The area is quite interesting if you do not mind moving around a bit. Bologna is also well within reach especially if you drive to Castel San Pietro and take the train from there. The nice house-owners are prepared to do any effort to make you comfortable. They speak excellent English.
