Positive: The owner is the most wonderful caring and best owner. Very comfortable and very clean. Great views

Negative: While it is 10-15 Minute walk to center of town, the hill is pretty significant. At first we thought it was too difficult, but we ended up enjoying the challenge and knew it was good four our mid 70 health

Summary: We loved Levanto. So much nicer than Cinque Terre. It was only improved by Raffela, the owner and the suite

Positive: Visiting Cinque Terre? Skip the main villages and stay in Levanto instead. More specifically, stay at Il Corbezzolo. Your host, Rafaela, is incredibly kind and warm, by far the friendliest person we met in Italy. Her property is situated higher up in the village, affording wonderful views of everything below. The suite itself is beautifully (and tastefully) decorated, with very comfortable beds and the best bathroom we encountered during our travels. Levanto was the last stop on our trip, and I can't picture a better way to end our time in Italy. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Positive: We were given the friendliest greeting as soon as we arrived from our lovely host Rafaella. She walked us right in to the lovely suite that was in every way beyond our expectations! The most stunning views, terrace outside both rooms looking out onto the sea we didn't even know was there! Large space rooms and bathroom, all brand newly renovated, great air conditioning, Quite, peaceful, a wonderful pool. I could go on and on!

Negative: The only thing I have negative to say is that the light on the air conditioner in the smaller bedroom is bright for sleeping. Possibly could cover this up somehow? Past that absolutely no complaints!

Summary: A beautiful, comfortable, quiet, tranquil home with breathtaking views, and the loveliest host!

Positive: The view! Way up on a hill above town takes some walking (comfy shoes or sandals), but is only 10-12 minute walk to the shops. Well functioning AC. Nice bathroom. Small snack bar set up with Nespresso, candy, wine opener. Also has a mini fridge Host is amazingly gracious and even brought us poolside snacks (prosciutto, bread and parmigiana) when we were drinking wine in the pool! Levanto itself is a gem. Great food. Nice beach. Much less crowded than the Cinque Terre towns and a great home base to visit them. Highly recommend the ferry that allows you to hop on and off at each village instead of taking the train. Also the views from sea are superb. Levanto is only 30 mins by regional train to La Spezia and from there you can catch high speed trains elsewhere. Very convenient

Negative: No kitchen area may be a problem for some but was no issue for us (snack bar and mini fridge). The address was somewhat difficult to find precisely on google maps but got us to the right general area. After that a quick phone call was all that was needed.

Positive: Great location in beautiful Levanto. Private apartment/suite with great view of the town and the coast, from the balcony/pool area. Private pool and garden area with table and chairs. 15 minute walk from the train station and 10 minute walk to the town (there is a hill!). Suite is lovely with a great bathroom. Croissants provided each morning and facilities to make tea/coffee. There is a fridge and bottles of water are provided each day along with some little treats (sweets/biscuits). Best of all are the fabulous hosts. Rafaella is so welcoming and kind and made our stay very memorable. She met us on arrival and showed us around the suite. We could not have been looked after better by Rafaella, Aldo and of course, little "Gossip" Chloe! They helped us with restaurant recommendations and reservations and told us about the area (boat trips etc.). Il nostro soggiorno era troppo breve! Erevamo molto tristi di patire e speriamo di tornare in futuro. Grazie mille, Rafaella, Aldo and Chloe.
