Dating from the 1880's, the cottage is a converted farm building with lots of character and provides a home from home environment from which to explore Cornwall. The cottage is tastefully decorated and provides everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. In the warmer months, enjoy the south facing, two tiered rear garden and when its chillier, snuggle up in front of the log burner in the cosy lounge.

Summary: We've just got back from a week with our 2 children. The communication to get to the cottage was brilliant and it was easy to find. We chose this property as it's a half hour drive to pretty much everywhere we wanted to go this week. I wish I'd checked that there was a bit more around as could have done with a pub that serves food (no fault of the property!). The shop was only open for a couple of hours a day which we always seemed to miss too but there is a Tesco 10 minutes away. We didn't realise there wasn't a freezer compartment in the fridge so unable to have freezer packs for picnics and ice for drinks. The king bed was very comfortable but the kids slept in the bunk beds and didn't sleep well. We had to flip the top mattress because the springs were sticking out. Both bunks were still very much uncomfortable for my 9 and 5 year old. Everywhere was clean, the buttons on the toaster and oven were a bit sticky though. The courtyard could do with a bit of a spruce up. WiFi worked great and the kids found a couple of dvds to watch in the mornings (before I put the Olympics on!). We've had such a nice week in Cornwall staying in this little village. Kids highlight was seeing a perigrine falcon sat on the gate one night!

Summary: A really lovely, well-equipped cottage. Clean and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax. Check-in details were easy to follow and the cottage is as described. We had a great stay, with the cottage being a good base for exploring Cornwall. Bodmin Jail also worth a visit!

Summary: Situated in a small village with a shop, only open during the day, bread milk etc. Tesco and Lidl 10 mins drive away. Maybe could do with a little touch up here and there but didn't spoil the holiday. It was quite chilly our first evening and we didn't have any fuel for the fire. As the sun doesn't penetrate into the cottage it can be quite cool. It is well equipped, although no Prosecco glasses so we bought a couple from the charity shop, so anyone celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary! Also, there is no mention of a fridge freezer but we assumed the fridge would have an icebox, it didn't, so no ice for drinks or freezing ice packs for packed lunches. The kitchen could easily accommodate a counter top freezer to use for these purposes and maybe a bigger "smart" tv would be beneficial too so you log in with netflix etc. The outside area could do with a jet wash and maybe some new pots for bedding plants and it could be a very pretty area. Shiv responded straight away with any queries' we had. The WIFI details were wrong on the info sent but we worked it out from the hub in main bedroom. All in all a nice quiet cottage and we enjoyed our stay.

Summary: The cottage has everything you need including a well equipped kitchen, with more utensils than we have found in other holiday rentals. It is located in a quiet area but within easy reach of Launceston and only 50 minutes to Bude. We loved the decor and surfboards located on the stairs, as it all added to the holiday feeling. Communication with the owner was good and the property was clean and well presented. We had a lovely few days and will return again.
