Positive: We were a group of 9 work colleagues attending a meeting at Plymouth Marine Laboratory, so the location is perfect for this. Easy to walk from the station too. Not as cheap as a bed and breakfast but comparable cost to a hotel and worked much better for us. The house is enormous, and was very luxurious - beautifully decorated (if quirky!) with superb facilities - ensuite bathrooms, two kitchens, lots of space for socialising. So luxurious that we felt we had to leave our shoes in the entrance hall. The house worked brilliantly for us. Wifi is easy and fast, key code entry meant we didn't have to have lots of keys. Good working spaces and for eating together. Rooms were quiet. We're going to try to book here for our next meeting in Plymouth, we loved it so much!

Negative: Our only main problem was that the two bedrooms with two beds in (twin rooms) had a shower cubicle with clear glass, looking right into the room. This wasn't really appropriate for two colleagues sharing a twin. We would recommend that the glass is replaced by frosted glass or a film added. The heating system is quite complicated and the clocks on the timers aren't set (but worked very well, with underfloor heating and radiators). The beds have a mattress protector on just under the sheets, which made the bed quite sweaty - we'd recommend putting the mattress protector under a mattress pad.
