Summary: House was perfect for our needs as we were close to Penguin Rep theater and visiting to see a show. However I was notified by the host on Saturday morning before check in that the main AC unit broke the day before. I requested that she get someone to come fix it (our stay was the 2 hottest days on record in some time) and she said she had tried on Friday but couldn’t. She did not try again. I think a host should make it a priority to have contractors on hand who are committed to helping with emergencies. We had some older members and by the second day the heat was oppressive. Otherwise it was a nice home.

Summary: The house itself is very nice and spacious. The kitchen is great with plenty of counter space and equipment provided. Overall it was a nice stay for the price. But there are a couple things that could have been better. Firstly the floors were filthy in the common areas. Everyone’s socks/feet were coated with dirt after only staying a couple hours. Someone stepped on a rusty tack that was under the carpet on the front porch. There wasn’t enough toilet paper or paper towels so we had to go out and grab extras. There are some metal plates laying in the backyard that could be dangerous for dogs/young children. The latch for one of the upstairs bathroom doors doesn’t work and pops right off if someone tries opening the door. All in all not a terrible stay by any means but there are a couple area that could use improvement at the time of our stay.

Summary: We had an amazing stay over Christmas! The house was even decorated for the holidays. Highly recommend for a large family or group of friends looking for a great home for entertaining. The large open kitchen, dining room, and living room were perfect!

Summary: At first glimpse the house matched the VRBO description. It soon became apparent that most rooms needed attention (broken switches, lights that didn’t work, kitchen and family room furniture in need of replacement, no screens in some bedrooms, dead houseplants…)

Summary: The photos definitely don’t show a lot of the repairs the home needs. A lot of broken fixtures and light switches, missing bulbs etc. We thought the place could use a lot of basic repairs but ultimately felt it was suitable to our needs. We felt the checkout instructions were lacking with no real indication for where we were meant to leave the trash and recycling but instructions to “take them out”. I also feel the host could better outline and photograph the amenities in the listing, especially labeling each of the bedrooms. We thought there were 6 bedrooms with beds but the 6th was an attic room with a folding mattress that was very uncomfortable. It’s a beautiful home but it needs some work.
