Located at the imit of the var and the maritime Alps, the village of Tanneron is calm and very resting. In the square there are 2 restaurants where you can taste specialties of the region.

Summary: We went here for training and race preparation and had four incredible week in one of the most pictoresque house and landscape we have been in. We arrived late in the evening but our hosts Mr and Mrs Maccari were waiting at us in the garden and greeted us warmly. Then while stepping into the 300 year old house the quaint atmosphere further made us feel welcome and relaxed. Despite its respectful age, the house offered all the convenience and modern equipment you need for an easy life. We first spent two weeks cycling, swimming and running hard in the beautiful but demanding landscape and then we had a couple of relaxing weeks exploring the beautiful surroundings of the Mediterranean Alps. The Ironman Nice race finally completed this fantastic French journey. So if you want to get away from your everyday stress and just enjoy life in a lovely and peaceful part of France with all the possibilities open for both activity and rest, this is the place to go. You can also rely on a sunny sky every day and, not the least, two very sympathetic hosts showing French hospitality when it is as its best.

Summary: Tanneron is a hilly location, about 580m above sea level, the drive is exciting and the views are fantastic. This is probably one of the cleanest places I have been to and Mr and Mrs Michele were the perfect hosts. Their son spoke fluent English and suggested places to visit and responded to all of our queries very efficiently. The property itself has a large garden, a great seating area under an olive tree and is in a very peaceful location. I would particularly recommend visiting the stream that runs along the D38 and there are many spots to park your car and have a picnic in a secluded spot. Overall a great experience and perfect for a long stay.
