Family-style Mediterranean-style house situated in the pine forest of Banzão, between Colares and Praia Grande.
Very quiet, relaxing and cozy pinewood area, overlooking the Sintra hills. The property has about 2,000m2 of fenced area, with a landscaped garden, lawn, 8x4 pool, BBQ, and covered porch with complete privacy. The property has private parking for cars and offers two bicycles for small trips.
Located 500 meters from the village of Mucifal, where you can find all the necessary trade, and 5 minutes by car from Praia Grande or Praia das Maçãs. There are several traditional food restaurants in the area.
We suggest the visit to the village of Sintra, with all its monuments, where you can experience the trip on the centennial tram, between historic farmhouses and palaces. Other places of interest we recommend are the picturesque Azenhas do Mar with its natural swimming pool, Praia do Magoito or Cabo da Roca. You can also choose to hike on foot, in the pine forest, in the hills, or in the Atlantic cliffs.
Praia Grande is an international surfing practice site, or it can also have a mode lessons in local schools. There are several golf courses within 30 minutes drive, Beloura, Belas Clube de Campo, Lisbon Sports Club, Quinta da Marinha, Penha Longa and Oitavos Dunes.

Summary: The house was very beautiful and the garden as well! We stayed with 6 people and there was enough room for all of us! Also Joana is a very kind woman who we could ask all our questions to. I would definitely recommend this to other people.

Summary: Beautiful house close to Sintra. Swimming pool and nice outside area for the kids. Supermarkets close by. Very convenient to drive to Cabo da Roca or Sintra. Great vacation !!!

Summary: I can’t say enough about how much we loved this house and the location! The whole area is gorgeous and you can walk to the beach. The house was full of incredible art and lovely places to sit and relax. We hope to come back soon!

Summary: Large garden and peaceful area with very few neighbours, house full of owners' (good) paintings and attractively furnished. Kitchen also well equipped. Main sights and Lisbon within easy distance and good restaurants nearby. Owners very helpful so an ideal place for a vacation.

Summary: A charming villa set in an old pine forest Three useful bedrooms lounge dining and games rooms and a beautiful garden that was blessed with afternoon and evening sun The pool was perfect for a enjoyable dip at any time of day or night and the atmosphere was really peaceful Easy to get to the coast and only 1/2 hour from Lisbon airport The owner was charming and very helpful

Summary: The property has a really nice feel - it is nicely appointed with a good balance of living and sleeping accommodation all on the ground floor. The garden is dominated by the pines which bring the lovely summer aroma, shade, as well as the showers of pine needles which can be a bit of a bore in the pool . The availability of bikes was a bonus - it was possible to cycle to the local shops as well as the nearest beach at Macas. We enjoy cooking, eating and drinking and were a little disappointed by the state of the cooker and fridge as well as the availability of some basic kitchen equipment (potato peeler / drainer / garlic press / wine glasses). The three double bedrooms are a little smaller that we were expecting and beds harder than we are used to. Bathrooms are very functional with good showers with plenty of hot water (gas fired boiler). The sitting area and dining area are both comfortable and spacious. The games room complete with pool / snooker table was a great addition. All in all a very nice place to stay although, based on our experience, it is expensive for what you get. Maria Leonor could not have been more kind or helpful.
