Summary: A really lovely guest house in a great location to drive to Plitvice lakes! The only downside was no fan was provided and we had some really hot days - we kept the windows opened which helped.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at House Karakas. The host was very welcoming :-) The room appeared recently renovated with a really good finish. It was clean and welcoming. The house was a great location for Plitvice National Park about a 20 minute drive away. I wouldn't hesitate on recommending House Karakas...thank you Lydia for a lovely welcome and stay.

Summary: Finding House Karakas was easy and after a friendly welcome we were shown our spotlessly clean room. The owners run a very tight ship (in the most positive sense of the word) and everything looks immaculate. Parking is easy and the Plitvicka National Park is about 20 minutes away by car (entrance 2). The only drawbacks were the limited hot water supply in the shower and the fact that the complex is somewhat noisy, i.e. it is fairly easy to hear (loud) voices coming from other rooms.
