Located just above the protected Korission lagoon( Natura 2000) in a unique and beautiful region of high ecological value and interest, it came very normal to us to upfront cultivate our farm in a sustainable, eco-friendly way and finally get(officially) the certification on organic cultivation. These last years our family planted 2000 olive trees creating a small and exemplar olive grove that produces organic oil of excellent quality!
The sustainable management that we apply on our farm allowed and still allows, to co-exist a variety of savage, local, medicinal and edible herbs that we protect, reproduce and continuously trying to promote via a variety of practical and easy ways, creating medical tinctures, soaps, various cosmetics, in culinary recipes etc. Simultaneously, during the seasonal cultivations we apply various forms of intercropping not only to avoid the use of chemicals pesticides and fertilizers but also as a drastic way to conserve the variety of natural environment!
In our restaurant we cook according to traditional southern Corfiot recipes, inherited and passed down from grandmother to grandchildren, using strictly certified organic products from our farm or other local certified organic farms, providing alongside, a large variety of vegan and vegetarian delightful dishes.Also, as our interests on creating a self-sufficient organic farm expand, in these last two years have established beehives trying and finding ways to combine traditional beekeeping with modern and gentle to bees methods. Attempting to make our farm friendly and attractive to bees, we cultivate various apicultural plants to achieve a high quality honey and pollen organic production.
Near us there are the sand dunes of a beautiful 'blue flagged' beach,
where some sea sport activities take place such as wind surfing, wave skating, along with swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, sand-castle building... you name it.

Summary: The first word that comes to mind as I sit here eating dinner on the balcony of the Bioporos restaurant is “magical.” The enchantment of the place is indescribable. We had the entire farm to ourselves and were the only two being served at the restaurant, creating a private and intimate ambiance that felt like a scene from a dream. I highly recommend it. Dinner at 8pm was a perfect choice. As the sun set behind the hill, casting a golden glow over the landscape, we sipped wine and watched birds gracefully soar over the farm's 2,000 olive trees. It was a moment of pure tranquility and beauty. The house itself was a sanctuary of peace. With the shutters closed, not a ray of sunlight could penetrate, making it the ideal haven for restful sleep. I felt like I could have slept for a week, cocooned in utter silence. Staying at Bioporos Organic Farm is an “experience” in the truest sense. This rural retreat offers a connection with nature that is unparalleled. Be prepared to encounter giant toads on the pathway to the restaurant, vibrant green lizards basking in the sun, roosters crowing, sheep grazing freely, swallows nesting on the restaurant balcony, and even the occasional hornet trying to enter the house if the door is left open. A small green frog even found its way into the toilet, adding to the rustic charm. If you're not ready for nature at your doorstep, this might not be the place for you. But for those who embrace it, the experience is extraordinary and unforgettable.

Summary: Bioporous Organic Farm reminds its visitors of what’s important — family, nature, connections, respect for our planet and our bodies. It is a beautiful, slow paced, friendly retreat from the hustle and bustle, pollution and pressure of modern urban life. The food served on a terrace overlooking olive orchards and the lagoon wad dome of the best I’d eaten in 3 weeks in Corfu, and the cooking class I took one Sunday morning means I can have at least one of those meals when I get home - along with a lovely memory of the lesson. The farm is perfectly located for exploring the beaches of southern Corfu and the two homes available for rental are comfortable and spacious. I’ll never forget arising in the middle of the night one night to see the full Harvest Moon reflected in the dark glass of the lagoon. Magical! Sheep (including two tiny ewes), a donkey, fresh honey straight from the hive, hand made bath products, fruit growing on trees to be plucked, hammocks for reading. What more could a traveler want? I hope someday to return.

Summary: it's hard to imagine a place more friendly and cozy than Bioporos. You'll find yourself in between olive trees, bee hives, a flock of sheep, a donkey and a horse, all of this topped off by stunning views over the property and the sea and by organic food and coffee. we stayed in one of the two houses with four beds and air con but you might as well bring your tent and sleep under the olive trees.
