Positive: Brilliant facilities at the house, Large rear garden, peaceful and quiet surroundings with garden facing the river. Lots of nearby walks. Parking on the street was easy enough. Loved our stay and would definitely consider visiting again.

Negative: Phone signals in the area were not great, however, Wifi at the property was very good to make up for any lost signals.

Positive: Beautiful cottage with a magnificent garden. Excellent shower. Very comfortable bed. Every single thing was provided for a first class stay. The Vines Hotel provides very good food. Beautiful scenic walks. Lovely and friendly locals. Excellent hosts. We sincerely hope we will visit again, thank you 🙏🏻

Positive: Lovely accommodation, clean, tidy, well presented and spacious garden. Location quiet in a quiet village with lovely Riverside walks. Feels like they had gone the extra mile. Communication from the host at ever stage made the trip easily managed.

Negative: Nothing about the accommodation, perhaps Scottish rain.

Positive: We appreciated the welcome box and the fact the host phoned us in advance to tell us about a problem with the oven. The cottage is very well equipped and has a lovely garden, including bird feeders. The location in the village is very handy, close to a Spa shop, coffee shop and a hotel/restaurant.

Negative: The only thing we couldn't find was oven gloves.

Positive: Absolutely loved the cottage and the area. Turns out we were only the second guests to stay since the owner recently finished a total renovation and brand new furnishing/equipment throughout. Property is outstanding for comfort and equipment and the location is fantastic and as described next to the river in a quiet corner of the village. The service from the housekeeping team was also friendly and welcoming. Great base to explore the borders and a short 5 minute walk into the village for a great butchers, grocers and bakers. Also 3 great places to eat or get takeaways if you don’t fancy cooking. Can’t recommend highly enough! Will defo return.
