Positive: A nicely secluded onsen far in the mountains. If you aren't apprehensive on going full nude into a bath, there are plenty of times its practically empty or you could rent a private bath for 45 mins. I think its like a full ryokan experience at a much better price. Got a nice room with the paper doors and staff came by to set up the futons while we were at dinner. I was able to request a shuttle from the station and was greeted by staff at the entrance. The dinner and breakfast was an art presentation, small proportions but somehow filling. Its worth trying at least once if you're open to many dishes such as a taste of Fugu. Now I didn't use the public indoor bath, my experience is mainly for the outdoor. at 0700, it was windy but no one was there, the water got hot fast so you won't freeze prior to going into the Onsen. Some older fellows came in later and even with a language barrier we had a friendly and fairly long chat. I can't say i ever liked a jaccuzi back in the US but I'd do an onsen again. It was so nice i went back an hour after the first for another dip. The view over Nagoya is best at the outdoor public bath. Ryusei (private indoor) has the mood at night, not sure about the day.

Positive: the staff really is incredibly friendly and helpful! We booked a private onsen and everything was perfect. Also the rooms are spacious! Breakfast was delicious.

Positive: Very nice and friendly staff. Very traditional and original. The room was great and we felt very welcome.

Negative: The price was too high, but I think because of F1.

Positive: We were going to the F1 at Suzuka. I had the distances confused so we ended up only staying 1 night. Be that as it may, the staff were excellent the dinner was exceptional. Room spacious and vey clean. Beautifull views. It is a spa hotel and should be treated as such. Must be geogeous in winter. All in all a nice experience.

Summary: Would take my wife there.

Positive: Everyone i met in the hotel were profesaional and friendly and helpful. The room was dated but very clean. Breakfast was a japanese set, simple but absolutely delicious. The period i went was non peak and everything was pretty purrfect. Location was near the ropeway which ia another plus.
