Positive: Loved the terrace and pool area and the staff were all amazing. Some of the nicest, most attentive staff we have ever had. Breakfast was superb. The rooms were lovely and the overall hotel super.

Negative: The distance from the beach and central Vico is quite far and unfortunately not walkable as the road is busy and narrow with no sidewalk.

Positive: Stunning views and incredibly friendly staff! Comfortable and modern rooms, and there is a wide choice for breakfast. We came by car and there is free parking on site. The location is great, if you leave early you can get to Sorrento in 20mins by car (or around 40 if driving later). Lovely decking area to sit in the evening too. Highly recommended! Positive: Superb staff, good breakfast (except the orange juice), good location to explore the neighborhood, no screaming children. The hotel is perfect for a lot of doing nothing.. relaxing is brought to the next level up. Splendid views and very good food. The staff is very nice and hospitable, you really feel at home.

Negative: location is next to a very busy road, but hey so are most of the hotels in this area. August is perhaps not the best month to visit the Amalfi coast.. too crowded. Car parking is an issue, everywhere.

Positive: Stayed here for the views from terrace. Grounds and garden beautiful. Lovely old but modernised building. Great breakfast and food at the restaurant. Lovely rooms and clean. Staff helpful and friendly. One staff member in particular stood out in being very welcoming and attending to your regular favourites at breakfast eg. Cappuccino. Thank you. Staff able to arrange day trips to Portfolio and Almalfi which were enjoyable.

Negative: Decided to stay for views. Location not great. On a busy winding and partially unlit road. Not recommended to walk at night. Information indicated a shuttle bus to and from nearby station. However, this was an external arrangement and very limited. Caused us to walk from station one night due to local train delays. Staff had tried to arrange a taxi but due to delays made this difficult. Great hotel, food and staff but location without a shuttle not recommended without a car. I would also check about stairs in room as room offered had a mezzanine to bed and down to bathroom at night. Not suitable for us. Staff were able to change our room but it then had a small porthole window.

Positive: Restaurant and restaurant staff was wonderful!!

Negative: The hotel staff was not great. We communicated we would be arriving late and they did not communicate the difficulty of getting to place. Fortunately, some young locals on the metro train were very kind and helped us find a bus to get on at the train station and drop us at the hotel. Again, when leaving they had a shuttle to take us to metro train station. We left our luggage in the lobby and they knew we needed to catch the shuttle, but failed to tell us that the shuttle would be picking up on lower level and that we should be there a little early to catch it, so we missed it. They did make it right by having a staff member drive us to the station. Hotel had a great view, but remote and nowhere to go without a car.

Summary: Okay, not great, except for restaurant, which was wonderful!
