Positive: The price included all meals, drinks and skis and snowboards. The staff were brilliant and helped solve some problems we had with lost items and also assisted with onward hire.

Positive: Hotel is dated. Happy with free flow of Drinks and snacks throughout the day. Staff is friendly and helpful. Meals were somewhat repetitive but it was of an acceptable quality and taste. We didn’t know that our package included rental of ski equipment. Bus stop is within a short walking distance from the hotel.

Negative: Onsen is a bit small and rooms are dated. The toilet flush makes a very noise. We can’t leave our windows incase any monkeys get in. For the price we were paying, maybe some basic toiletries can be provided at the onsen like moisturiser.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay and it meets our expectations

Positive: Traditional hotel lodge in an excellent location in Shiga Kogan. 3 minute walk to the main ski lift. Loved the open fireplace and communal space. The large onsen was very nice after a day on the slopes. Welcoming and helpful staff. And extensive breakfast options. Easy walking to bars and restaurants. Ski hire equipment was new, high quality and great value.

Negative: Older style but warm and welcoming.

Summary: A smaller hotel ski lodge in the heart of Shiga Kogan with great facilities, quiet and welcoming - highly recommended
