Positive: Breakfast at this hotel was buffet style with chairs and tables in a large venue (about 250 seats). The contents were neither acceptable nor unacceptable.

Negative: Guests should not be able to control the air conditioning in their rooms themselves. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are not provided in the bathrooms, so guests must go to the store to purchase them.

Summary: There were one large indoor bath and two outdoor baths, and the temperature of the hot spring water

Positive: The Onsen was perfect, the food was good and the staff were all very nice. Had a surprise Drum and dance show in the evening that we weren’t expecting, so that was cool!

Negative: Slightly dated, but we’ve been to so many Ryokan, most are dated. This place worked great for us.

Summary: Nice spot after a day of skiing.

Positive: A traditional old Japanese getaway. I was personally received at the bus stop and escorted all the way to my room. I received a high floor room with an incredible view. You will get the best experience but be prepared with the Japanese etiquette. English is available but basic Japanese can make life easier. The Onsen water is unique and has a distinctive smell. It is very big with indoor and beautiful outdoor area.

Negative: This is common in these traditional hotels. Walls are supper thin. I had a family with kids next to me. They made sure I woke up early for breakfast.
