Positive: Nice basic hotel in the city centre. View over the river Rhine, free parking at the associated hotel Schützen.

Negative: Basic breakfast. When checking in late, you must get the key at the hotel Schützen, a 500 m walk away. Noisy church bells at some ridiculous early hour (even on a weekday).

Positive: Very nice location. Restaurant very good. Rooms clean and good service.

Negative: Some confusion with seemingly newer staff members not knowing if the hotel had a toaster. But OK we can of course overlook this. Said toaster reappeared on day 3 😁

Positive: You really do feel like you are on the Rhine here. The views from the window are stunning. I would stay here again.

Negative: I had some difficulty finding the hotel in the car as it involves passing though a number on No Entry signs. However, once I rang the hotel they were helpful and gave instruction. My Mum has some walking difficulty and the car park (though free) was a 10 min walk away. Parking on a meter is over the road.

Positive: Location was excellent, there was a storage room for our bikes, rooms were goo with direct view on the river and bridge. Breakfast was excellent. Staff at reception and in the restaurant and breakfast room were pro actively and very friendly.

Negative: Would be great if in future, the windows have mosquito net to keep them open during the night and listen to the river.

Summary: perfect location for view and within the both cities. Very friendly staff
