Positive: The Hotel The Celecton Matsumoto offers a very comfortable room with a large bed. The location is perfect, right in the city center and only a few minutes’ walk from the famous Matsumoto Castle.

Negative: On the negative side, the “parking” was a big disappointment. The website mentions parking availability, but in reality, that’s not the case. The parking area is small and, when we arrived, it was occupied by local residents. This made it impossible to park for free, forcing us to look for another paid option, which was not cheap. This is especially frustrating because the number of parking spaces does not match the number of rooms.

Positive: Very convenient stay, comfortable bed and nice room with beautiful view, available washing machines, great onsen and affordable hotel restaurant. Many extra items available on request to make your stay even better (memory foam pillows, extra clothes hangers, …). Family mart 24/7 and drug store about 200m from the hotel, another food supermarket max 10 min walk, about 8min walk to the beautiful beach.

Positive: Clean, great facilities, solid breakfast with a good variety of food. The service counter was very helpful and friendly. Convenience store very close, a supermarket and drugstore a short walk away. Parking lot huge.

Negative: Location is a bit away from some popular areas like Wada Beach. The room was comfortable, but the bed was a bit firmer than I would like; same goes with most Route-Inn locations.
