Summary: GREAT location! And parking in a lot included, which was amazing after a long drive! Staff was very nice. Room is very outdated, but overall comfortable. Had a lovely little balcony overlooking the river which was so nice! Our original room had issues smelling like sewage - we went to the front desk late at night and they immediately switched our room. But no A/C so it was a bit warm, we opened the balcony door to cool off but be aware. I would likely stay again, b/c of the location, walking distance to the entire cute little town.

Summary: Very nice hotel with rooms facing directly to the Douro River. Very good location from which to do boat or train rides or winery tours. Staff we were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable with a very nice balcony to sit on and looks over the river.
