Positive: Breakfast was great and included. Dinner was exceptional, but expensive! However, this is Iceland so sort of par for the course.

Negative: Nothing, the only disappointment was not seeing the northern lights, but we were there for one night and they cannot help the weather!

Positive: There is just one word which encapsulates Hotel Ranga. That is; exceptional. Throughout our stay we were able to enjoy a range of first class food at every meal, be that breakfast, bar meals or a la carte menu. Our dietary requirements were easily catered for and personalised accordingly by meeting the head chef and visiting the kitchen. The staff made us very so very welcome and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and spotless. The atmosphere in the hotel is relaxed, calm and decadent. The location of the hotel is perfect for those wishing to enjoy peaceful dark skies and travel around beautiful, dramatic Iceland. We cannot recommend highly enough for those looking for an exceptional hotel.

Positive: Remote luxury/comfortable hotel with beautiful open views which allows for hot tub enjoyment of the night sky and possible aurora . The staff are wonderful, my luggage was lost by the airline and they were so helpful to me. The restaurant is fabulous and so is the breakfast buffet.

Negative: Absolutely nothing!

Positive: Everything! Beautiful setup, country lodge. Exceptional staff and customer care. Food and service were excellent. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We had snow overnight and staff cleared the snow off all the cars ready for people to go out for the day. Can’t wait to go back in the future.
