Positive: This was an absolute gem of a hotel on our travels. The staff were lovely, an amazing spot with gorgeous gardens by the riverand we had a great large room at the back of the hotel.

Negative: Nothing! Everything was great!

Positive: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You have a great view of the Arenal volcano. There is a lovely garden and beautiful trails.

Positive: Breakfasts were great and good choices. Both days though coffee was served in a carafe and was only lukewarm. Location was perfect within walking distance of restaurants.

Negative: More complimentary coffees in room.

Summary: Hotel Monte Real was in a beautiful setting and room was clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
