Positive: It was a 6 mins walk from the Station to the Hotel (recommend using Google Maps); and I had a reasonable sized room, clean bathroom and toilet, with an additional sink, mirrored unit in the main area, so a bonus; and a comfortable and quiet overnight stay. :D

Negative: Staff could have been more welcoming and signage of hotel in English eg - Hotel Miyako Hills, was not visible , only Japanese signage was on the outside of the Hotel. The breakfast (basic, and Japanese style) did not match what the promotional photos showed, but it was OK.

Summary: Reasonable value with a good night's sleep. :D

Positive: The location is good, it's an easy walk from Miyako station. The staff didn't really understand English but they did their best to be helpful despite the language barrier. A selection of different pillows is available in the lobby, but the one in the room was decently comfortable as was the bed. Wifi worked alright, and the breakfast was decent. Room is fairly spacious as far as Japanese hotels go.

Negative: Despite being a "non-smoking" room, there was a strong smell of cigarette in the room. The carpets and surfaces were quite stained too, and the room in general could use a facelift. It was also very loud in the room as soundproofing is basically nonexistent, you'll hear everything happening in the hallway and other rooms. Bring earplugs.
