Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Matthiol Boutique Hotel. The room was beautiful, and I highly recommend using the sauna—it was an amazing experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was phenomenal, and we also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which honestly was one of the best dining experiences we had in Zermatt. The food and atmosphere were outstanding. The hotel offers pick-up and drop-off service from the train station, which was very convenient and made arrival and departure seamless. The location is truly exceptional, with a beautiful trail right behind the property and breathtaking views of the Matterhorn. Highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay in Zermatt.

Summary: Hotel Matthiol was our favorite stay in Switzerland! The hotel is tucked just outside the main part of Zermatt, which made it feel peaceful and private, but it was still an easy walk into town, and the complimentary shuttle was a nice bonus. We stayed in a spa room with a sauna, steam shower, and a big soaking tub right by the window overlooking the mountains. The self-guided spa was perfect for relaxing, and the massage we booked was absolutely worth it. On top of all that, the restaurant served some of the best food we had during our entire trip. We cannot wait to come back!
