Summary: Staff are professional and friendly. Met the owner of the hoyel during breakfast. She was very approachable and helpful with recommending Chuson-ji area n temples. We went for a pretty late dinner n there was this small local eatery just behind the hotel. Didn't seem much of a place, but very authentic n fresh with their ramen, n very reasonable price. Only thing was you need to order from a slot machine, if you could read kanji! A very kind customer guy helped to explain there was only 1 ramen in this eatery n some side dishes. Food was delish!

Summary: Great location near station, only a 2-min walk, stayed there to visit Hiraizumi and catch the shinkansen to Hakodate the next morning. Super convenient. Lobby smelled of cigarette. Room is dated.

Summary: Excellent location right next to the JR station. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in the vicinity. The room was very spacious but slightly outdated, the toilet and bathroom especially. The staff was friendly and overall it was a pleasant stay.

Summary: Very convenient, located just steps away from the station. Staff speak limited English but are helpful. The place looks a little dated but is clean and perfectly fine.

Summary: Room was spacious. The air conditioner was okay, but just a 3-speed fan, so we were not sure that it would manage a heat wave. Very close to the train station. We had breakfast one morning and it was very good, with a few gourmet surprises like pumpkin soup! The area was quiet and we found an excellent Indian food restaurant next door (called Maya) on our last night. A woman at the tourist center spoke perfect English and helped us plan a whirlwind tour of the area, including a visit to the gorge and several temples. We would stay here again.
