Summary: The hotel in general is pretty rundown and in need of a major update. The chair in the room was filthy, and the door to our room looked like someone had tried to pry it open with a chisel, All in all the hotel has a spectacular location and view of the lake from the upper floors, but that’s about all. Rooftop bar is really nice though. We won’t be staying there again.

Summary: First, be careful that they put you in the kind of room you reserved. We reserved a Park-view room and had a view of air conditioning units instead. Second, not all of the staff is well trained, so your experience can vary with who is at the front desk. Third, the room was spacious, but tired. It could use an update and a deep clean. Fourth, we were there over a holiday weekend. They rented out the rooftop bar for private events three days in a row, with loud house music. We still had access, but it wasn’t a very relaxing atmosphere. The hotel was quite expensive for what it delivered. Its main benefit is the location, which can’t be beat if you need to be in Lincoln Park. Plenty of great places to eat and visit nearby, and the restaurant that is part of the building was quite good.

Summary: My husband and I have stayed at Hotel Lincoln a handful of times in the past, so I generally know what to expect. Rooms are small if you stay in a regular room, but roomy if you upgrade to a suite. However, no matter the type of room, the bathroom is always small. Not a big deal if you're only staying for a night or two. This stay we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a renovated room (for a $40 fee, of course). We opted to upgrade and were delighted at the modern updates of the room. Even the tiny bathroom was updated - rain showerhead with separate handheld sprayer as well! Woke up in the morning and was excited to try out the new shower. Nope, no hot water AT ALL! And the water did not drain in the bottom of the shower (gross). Couldn't even use the upgraded/renovated amenities we paid for.

Summary: I loved the Hotel Lincoln! Perfect location, loved walking Lincoln Park in the mornings. Pretty and safe neighborhood. Found a great deli/wine shop five minute walk away. Room was very clean and the best part was the staff! Everyone from the desk staff to the maintenance crew to the coffee shop employees were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

Summary: Everything was very clean and the location can not be more perfect! Loved walking through Lincoln Park in the mornings and strolling around the neighborhood, found a great local deli/wine shop only 5 minute walk. Excellent restaurant downstairs too. The best part was the staff! Very friendly and helpful staff from the front desk to the maintenance crew to the coffee shop. Only down side was slow elevators, one was not working for the first day. Still, not a big deal. Highly recommend! I will definitely stay here again.

Summary: I’ve stayed here 1 to 2 times a year over the last 8 years. And this place felt like it was getting better as they started renovating the top 3 floors a couple years ago. But they didn’t keep going. And below floor 9 feels like a totally different and not great hotel. Had to ask to change rooms, which the accommodated, because the ceiling had flaps hanging from it. Rooftop is amazing, staff is great, but the food could improve a bit.

Summary: Great staff. Great rooftop bar. The only minor complaint that I have is no refrigerator in the room. It's good for leftovers and beverages. We bought a soft sided cooler and used ice, which is a pain.
