Positive: I liked learning about the history of this beautiful hotel. The location was perfect. Every staff member we interacted was so helpful and accommodating. The highlight of our stay was happy hour in the hotel lounge, and Hunter mixing delicious cocktails. This location is ideal, but prepare yourself for some loud partiers on the street below over the weekend... Sunday night was much quieter. The summer A/C unit in the room not only kept us comfortable, but was the perfect white noise to drown out some of the bar scene sounds below.

Negative: We had two rooms, and it would have been nice if they were uniform in their window coverings. Our daughters room had nice, heavy sound and light blocking shades, and the room my husband and I stayed in had white, metal mini-blinds, which didn't do much to block the partying sounds from the streets below, nor did they block much light to let us sleep in.

Summary: Great location and a very cool hotel, walkable to all downtown Bellingham has to offer

Positive: The location is great. The hotel's historic charm was worth the stay. Love that there is a Clarke Gable movie room to watch old films. The guest parking. Courteous staff.

Negative: The beds were a bit soft for our liking, but satisfactory.

Positive: The location was wonderful. Right in the heart of the town. Easy access to restaurants and cafes. An interesting historical building.

Negative: They need proper black out curtains that cover the entire window. I thought for the price we paid that the amenities would be a bit better. I think they need to do some updating of the rooms.
