Summary: This is our eighth Swiss hotel and it’s the best yet. The bathroom, particularly the shower tube, is well-designed and incredibly comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Summary: This hotel is close to the Johannes Kirche in the centre of the old town of Schaffhausen. The fortress is close too as are all the shops and restaurants on Vordergasse. It takes about five minutes to get to the train station where you can easily get to the Rhine Falls (5 minutes on the train in the Zurich direction and make sure to catch a train that stops at Neuhausen Rheinfall - not just Neuhausen). Stein-am-Rhein is thirty minutes on the train in the other direction heading towards St Gallen. The old town of Schaffhausen has many decorative features including fountains, murals, oriel windows, and metal signs.

Summary: Rooms are a bit on the small size but adequate for myself and wife and 4 bags. The restaurant was available for lunch and dinner and was truly excellent. The breakfast was decent but not special. The staff was excellent. One negative was the shower - it was clean and modern and fully functional however the shower water temperature was not steady - it would with no warning change from comfortable to freezing cold to scalding hot in seconds. Made showering an unwanted adventure.

Summary: An overall excellent experience; the front frack, the room, the restaurant, the quality of served dinner and breakfast. One thing maybe to enhance: the breakfast coffee served in the morning, for me; there’s better in Switzerland.

Summary: We were traveling with a large group and booked the 4 suites offered at the hotel. The suites were fantastically unique, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We had an amazing 2-night stay and enjoyed exploring Schaffhausen with Hotel Kronenhof as our home base. The included breakfast was a nice touch, and we also had the opportunity to have dinner in the hotel restaurant. I ordered the filet and it was fantastic. We will definitely come back to stay here again.
