Positive: Location was beautiful. We had a lovely view across the Gudenaa River. The hotel was old and had lots of character. The food was very good. There was an iron and ironing board available. There was plenty of parking You can walk along the river bank for a considerable distance in either direction on a gravel path (so not muddy, despite the rain). We were there for my brother's wedding and the hotel had an excellent function room in a lovely setting.

Negative: The weather was very wet! Otherwise there wasn't anything to complain about.

Positive: A fantastic hotel, based right on the river, which our room had a view onto. The whole hotel was really nicely designed. The room was great and the bed super comfy (with duvet, which I prefer). Bathroom was a good size and had nice soap and shower gel. Dinner was good and breakfast excellent. The best thing, though, were the staff, who were all super friendly and helpful.

Negative: There weren't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room (but it's easy to get a hot drink downstairs). I'd have preferred if the bathroom products avoided using single use plastic. To note, it is just off the main road (which is not particularly busy) and doesn't have other facilities particularly nearby - neither of these things bothered me at all, and once at the hotel, you don't notice the road at all.

Positive: The staff were brilliant and the restaurant was excellent. I had to leave early and they provided a simple but tasty breakfast for my colleague and I despite being in the middle of setting up breakfast.
