Positive: This is a wonderful, family-run small hotel, with loads of character. Parking was free, and we found it an easy 10-15 minute drive from the hotel to the heart of downtown. I understand there are good bus options nearby to get everywhere you might need to go. We booked a “double” room and requested the queen bed option - what we got was a king size bed in a very generously sized room on the 2nd floor at the back. The furnishings and carpet were not new, and some might call the decor a little tired, but we found the room charming, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable and had good pillows and European style individual duvets. We had a small sofa, table and chairs, and tiny fridge. We also had a balcony with table and chairs and even a glimpse of the alps. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. Dinner at the on site restaurant was also excellent! Overall, a wonderful stay and great value.
