Summary: I walked my dog one block up and one block down - passed transients sitting on the sidewalk or walking unsteadily, appearing stoned/drunk. I felt a little nervous as a woman staying alone in a city I didn't know. The other issue is, lack of parking unless I chose valet parking. The room itself was fine - clean and spacious. The front desk person was very courteous and helpful.
