Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The breakfast was decent...continental, with good options and fresh bread! For a city hotel, the size of the rooms was more than decent, with a large bathroom. Good bar area, which was open until late. Following a complaint, the manager dealt with us respectively, and took on the feedback positively.

Negative: Well, there were a few things we had to complain about... firstly our welcome wasn't at all friendly and it seemed like he was lost, either that or he was new... not sure. Secondly, despite it saying the restaurant would be open, it was closed when we arrived on the Friday, with no forewarning - it also seemed to be closed on the Saturday evening & lastly one of the rooms had no towel when we arrived, had to ask for one the following day! There is parking, but it's on the side of the street, and it's on a first come/first served basis, so bear that in mind. Some parts of the hotel could also do with a refurb, the floors/corridors are quite squeaky and some of the light fittings seemed to hanging by a thread. The hotel is also a half hour walk or 10 minute bus ride from Lubeck City Centre. Not much the hotel can do about that directly - but we did think it was closer, than what it turned out to be.

Summary: Not Ideal - but comfortable enough!
