Positive: The lounge and lobby are stunning. The breakfast was probably the best I've ever had in New Mexico. I left a plush toy that is very special to our family. They held it for 2 weeks and I got it back on my return trip home.

Negative: The neighborhood is very dangerous and there was a lot of commotion and fighting outside my room. The hotel ( motel) has no heat and it was about 30° and rainy during my stay. If I had known about the no heating factor, I would have rented elsewhere.

Positive: Having slept in the same room where President Ronald Reagan once stayed was an honor. It gave me a good feeling to think of a president who still carried something exemplary in him: a man who led the world with prudence, with warmth, and always with a joke on his lips. A man with heart. And when, before falling asleep, one can listen to Neil Diamond as well, the world feels, for a brief moment, almost back in order. It lets you forget, just for a little while, what kind of leadership we see in so many places today. Thank you for the wonderful performance — it was pure retro.

Positive: This amazing property was built in the 30s. Many celebrities visited. In the 60s it was going to be bulldozed when someone came forward and bought it and renovated it. It was recently renovated once again but the style and the ambience of the 30s hotel remains so it has a very western theme. With handmade curved wooden staircases to the mezzanine floor and cowboy decor all over the hotel as well as numerous black-and-white celebrity photograph. Celebrities who apparently visited this hotel back in the day. It’s really a unique and interesting place!

Positive: Wonderful historic property. Great bar and fantastic Southwestern beef stew.

Negative: Noisy AC unit. If you stay in the motel units on a weekend night, you may have noisy bikers for neighbors. There was an argument between two of them in the early hours of the morning.

Positive: Staff here is exceptional. Extremely kind, knowledgeable. The fire was burning in the lobby fireplace which was a delight.

Negative: My room was on the second floor near the lobby so I was a little concerned about sound since I'm a light sleeper.
