Summary: Neither Expedia nor The Hotel Du Bois make it clear in any way that this is an unmanned “Hostel” It is not a hotel in the way most people would understand. The room was ok, breakfast fine, but the lack of transparency on the status unacceptable. And for what you get it is actually expensive. I would not recommend it

Summary: The place is absolutely awesome, quiet, beautiful view around the area, nice staff. The breakfast was great. It’s a bit challenging for the hot summer without air conditioning.

Summary: This hotel was in the perfect location and we found great restaurants right near by, as it was Monday and all restaurants are closed in Seltz!

Summary: Great, we arrived and asked if there was anywhere local to eat and we were given diirections about a 10 min walk away, however the eaterie was closed for the evening, so we headed back to the hotel, when we explained the situation a very tasty meal was prepared for us even though no meals should have been supplied in evening time ... Fab !!

Summary: We started off a bit on the wrong foot when checking in, but it was our fault - partly due to the language barrier (my French is not very good), and simply not knowing the layout of the hotel. Once we got past that, we had a wonderful stay! Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was very nice. The breakfasts were terrific! Madame Marie-Helene (the innkeeper) made us little breakfast sandwiches each morning of toasted half-croissant topped with ham, cheese, and a fried egg! (a breakfast croque madame, if you will). This was in addition to the cold cuts, smoked trout, various baked items, juices, and as much coffee/tea as you wanted. When we checked out, Madame Marie gifted us with a nice bottle of Alsatian wine as an apology for the mix-up at check in, even though it was our fault! For those seeking an extended-stay place, they have some suites on the 2nd floor (3rd floor in US) with kitchenette facilities. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
