Positive: Great view. Architecturally very charming. Fun snorkeling right from the property. Competent and kind people at the front desk. Food, clear printed menu, and a capable, helpful and kind waiter (Eduardo) in the second restaurant ( the one that is not tasked with “serving” breakfast.) Repeat guests - that always says something good about a place.

Negative: Complete incompetence with “serving” breakfast. Got the first breakfast OK - thank you Claudia. Had to protest the second morning ( watching others slowly but eventually being served as I waited and waited). On my last morning I sat there waiting for over 25 minutes and finally left the restaurant without ever any food being offered. Was the only guest in the restaurant at the time - with about three staff in the kitchen and about three waitresses. Claudia served some coffee. Never experienced anything like this before. Stunning. No reading lights so if you like real books - evenings reading is out.

Summary: Fighting for breakfast is not my thing but … they might like you better.

Positive: Very nice and clean hotel, it’s amazing to spend time to relax, front desk staff very welcoming and attentive, Breakfast service also was amazing, server was very attentive and with a nice service.

Negative: Staff at the pool not productive at all, you had to call them to take orders, any attention at all. I even had to go to the bar and order. This was at the familiar pool from the hotel. Lunch service was very slow. Just one observation for breakfast quality food…no taste at all I ate because I was very hungry.

Positive: Lovely place to hang out and relax for a day or two. Lovely food, attentive service, huge comfortable bed, nice pools and different places to sit or lie down, activities available.

Positive: This was our third stay here within 12 months which we mentioned at check-in. We love the atmosphere of the hotel and its wonderful location right on the water with great snorkeling. The restaurant service seemed a little faster this time but the reception staff not as friendly. We have had a late checkout both previous visits and were told it was absolutely no problem. This time, even though we just wanted an extra half an hour before catching our ferry, we were abruptly told no, latest checkout is at 12. I am not sure if Maya is still one of the managers here but she was absolutely delightful when we stayed in May. We were hoping for a similar experience. Pillows are always uncomfortable as mentioned by other guests, coffee maker didn’t work but Manuel in the restaurant kindly provided hot water when requested. Jose, our waiter, was so sweet and kind, he responded quickly and professionally to an issue regarding a food allergy. Great service. I am sure we’ll be back but this time it didn’t feel quite as “special”.
