Summary: Quaint hotel in lovely location tucked away in the forest next to the river. Not easy to find but worth the effort. Excellent food in restaurant and great service. A great place to stay to relax and unwind.

Summary: It was unfortunate that the Owners of the hotel had suffered a bereavement and when we arrived said that they were basically closed. They had tried to contact us but had a number wrong in my mobile so we weren't aware that we could not eat at the hotel. We were allowed to stay there and found a little restaurant close by where we had a nice dinner. We were able to use the swimming pool and the Owner's wife put two chairs out on the terrace overlooking the river and luckily we had a bottle of whisky with us! Breakfast was good and there was a wide variety of things to eat from homemade yogurt to smoked ham and cheese. There was also a beautiful African Grey Parrot in a purpose built cage next to the bar, who had a very interesting vocabulary.
