Positive: So, this place works well if you need a base in New York. The area itself is rough but the hotel is fine. There is free but limited parking at the hotel, and street parking in New York is free if you can find a space, but remember to move your car before 8am on a weekday! The rooms are small and pokey, but clean, and the beds are fine. The bathrooms are functional. There are no facilities apart from a fridge in the room, no coffee etc. There is a TV but I never use it. Wifi is adequate. Its pricier than it used to be but still on the reasonable side for New York. The subway to Manhattan is a block away and right next to a decent deli where you can get food and coffee at a very reasonable price.

Negative: On one occasion the subway was closed and coming back from Manhattan late at night I had to walk from Atlantic Avenue, which is basically a 15min walk through the roughest neighborhood in the USA. This part of Brooklyn is not for the faint-hearted. The lack of coffee and basic facilities in the hotel is a pain in the ass to be honest, you'd think for the money being charged they could at least sort that out. Motel 6 can.

Summary: Its a pretty reliable and inexpensive way to stay in New York, but its not glamorous

Positive: I did not enjoy any breakfast because I had to check out before it was served. There were some refreshments available but not microwaves or refrigerator in each room,

Negative: Some fixtures like the shower door handle was in poor condition

Summary: Overall provided what I needed and grateful to the staff for being helpful and friendly
