Positive: Property was well kept, clean, and in good condition. The staff were very attentive, respectful and made sure everything you needed were accomplished.

Positive: The rooms were spacious and have A/C. Also the gallery on the second floor was nice.

Negative: I must say that I was rather disappointed with the accommodation. Relying on the positive reviews I had booked it to treat myself to an accommodation above standard. However, except for the A/C I was not impressed. The bathroom, especially the shower, was not clean and the pipes were leaking. Breakfast was ok, but no more. And their services are absolutely over-priced. I asked them what they charge for doing my laundry and the girl from the reception said 6US$ for 12 pieces!! I then carried my laundry to a different hostel where they washed it for 2.70 US$ (and it was more than 12 pieces!). If you want to pay by credit card, hostal Eden applies a fee of 5%. At a rate of 50US$ per night, this surcharge should already be included.

Summary: Poor value for money - I was very disappointed!

Positive: We had an amazing stay! Would highly recommend! We stayed with 4 persons in Hostal Eden for 3 nights. The owner of the hostal, Rouss, is a wonderfull host. She did everything in her power to make our stay fantastic. She helped us a lot. Airconditioning in the room. Filtered water available. We could use the kitchen and laundryroom. You can walk from the ferry to the hostal. And it is located in the centre of Moyogalpa. Definitely 5 stars and if we are going back to the island then we will stay at hostal Eden again.
