Positive: Beautifully decorated cottage, very well equipped, spacious and lots of different rooms so great for a family get together. The kitchen space was particularly nice. It was great to be able to go on walks from the house and there was a pleasant sitting area in the garden. The views were lovely and it was a good location or exploring Shropshire and Worcestershire, would definitely recommend. The owner very responsive to questions.

Positive: Beautiful house in lovely grounds. Comfortable beds, nice large towels, good soap.

Negative: The heating was off when we got there including the Aga and the under floor heating in the kitchen. It was consequently freezing cold and luke warm showers. Messaged guest homes who eventually got it sorted the night before we left and wouldn’t let us stay a few hours longer for free on check out day to make up for it and no apologies for the inconvenience. We had to rely on the woodburner and asking one of our group to bring blankets. When the heating did go on the day before we left, it came on at 530am so woke us up. There were also no instructions of how to get through electric gate so we couldn’t gain access for a while when we first got there. The toilet in by the kitchen was dirty beneath the wooden bench so didn’t want to use it. There was a very large parasol open in the kitchen on arrival presumably drying out but it was quite difficult to put away.

Summary: Not impressed with guest homes despite house being beautiful. It was lovely when it was eventually warm
