Hen House is a really special place to stay, a charming garden cottage at the heart of Brook Farm. It’s a refurbishment of part of the old stables and granary and a perfect spot to relax and get away from it all!
Hen House is surrounded by a beautiful, picturesque garden and woodland. It sleeps two guests and is a wonderfully romantic retreat – warm, welcoming and magical, with everything you need for a relaxing break. And it has its own gorgeous little cinema, exclusively for Hen House guests.
Hen House has a spacious open plan layout, all on one level.

Kitchen and dining area: Fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher, fridge freezer and electric cooker), farmhouse dining table.
Living area: Comfy sofa, armchair, throws, Smart TV and DVD player
Bedroom: King-sized bed, exposed beam ceiling

Cinema room: In studio above Hen House - comfy sofas, streaming services / DVDs (your own cinema for your entire stay!)
There’s central heating and we also provide linen and towels. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the Store Room next to Hen House.
Hen House also has a lovely, enclosed private garden, with magical countryside views. It has a barbecue, outdoor tables / chairs and log-burner, perfect when it drops cold later in the evenings.
Parking is about 45 metres (along a gravel path) from the cottage.
Beyond that, it’s surrounded by nine acres of beautiful gardens, meadow and woodland. Find a lovely spot to sit and watch the sun set, listen to the birds, have a drink…or just be……

Summary: Lovely, relaxing break for us. The property was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and quirky. The cinema room was rare treat! The private garden space was gorgeous and perfectly secure for our dog. The large, extensive gardens provided good, long walks with fabulous views. Thank you Stephen and Steven, we would love to stay again for a bit longer next time.

Summary: If you are looking for a safe environment away from all the stresses of Covid-19, well this is the place. "The Hen House" is a self contained cottage situated in 9 acres of land. Stephen and Steven are great hosts, we were met with little treats in the cottage and the gardens were breath-taking, where we spent most of our time just relaxing and taking in the views. The cottage was spotlessly clean and could not be faulted in any way. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer, but we will definitely return again.
