Summary: My husband and I were lucky enough to spend 10 marvelous nights in this lovely cottage. It was the perfect holiday for us to totally calm down by enjoying this peaceful, remote place and exploring its surroundings. The cottage itself is very cosy and simple with all the basic equipment one needs, if you don't expect luxury ;-) We were warmly welcomed by the owner of the property, Tobia, and Fabrizio, the good soul/housekeeper/gardener, a lovely man who gave us a lot of tipps and always brightened our days, whenever he came by. Some things we think are good to know for future guests: The private road to the property is really adventurous, rocky and narrow and can be a challenge for bigger cars and drivers, who don't have good nerves. You might want to leave your car uphill and ask the agency, if their Samurai Jeep would be available for getting you up and down, as we did. Another tipp: if you're a heavy coffee drinker you might want to bring another espresso maker for the gas stove, as the one that is there can only make 2 espressi at a time ;-) We highly recommend this place for people who enjoy the Dolce far niente in a peaceful location in the middle of stunning nature and still close enough to some beautiful, Italian villages and sights. Summary: The perfect get away if you want to enjoy your peace and quiet! Hard to find initially but the lovely neighbours directed us and helped us! Really is off the beaten track and down to the most beautiful views which made the journey that much more worth it! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and everything umbria has to offer!

Summary: My husband and I enjoyed an extraordinary 4 nights at this cottage tucked away in a wild & wonderful valley. The initial drive down the long, steep, windy, and bumpy driveway was a bit hair-raising. However, the privacy and pristine views of the Umbrian countryside were well worth the white knuckles. I can only reiterate what other reviewer’s have shared – a 4 wheel drive vehicle is essential - preferably one not too wide as there are some narrow passages between rocks that must be navigated. If you are a nervous driver or have been pounding down grappa, this is probably not the cottage for you. If you are travelers who enjoy stunning, secluded vistas & off-the beaten path adventures, you will be in Heaven. The cottage was very cozy and well appointed with a charming private pool. Fabrizio – the gardener/caretaker – was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed hiking around the valley our first morning for even more breathtaking views and cheese tasting at a neighboring agritourism farm. We also loved our first night dinner at the local family farm-to-table restaurant, Jovez. It was also nice to be within an easy drive to Orvietto – one of the most beautiful historic hilltop towns with one of the most magnificent duomos in Italy. Finally, Civita di Bagnoreggio is a spectacular experience that is in the “backyard” of the cottage. I would recommend visiting in the evening when the crowds thin and the setting sun dramatizes the colors and shadows of the setting. Bellissimo! We are already dreaming of a return visit.

Summary: The beauty of the property is unbelievable. Both the view and the land surrounding the cottage are stunning. We loved having our own water source, which provided drinking water, pool water and a running water stream next to the house. The acces road is steep, narrow and bumpy - yet doable when you take it slow. The care taker Frabrizio really did take care. We had a wonderful time.

Summary: A privilege to be in this beautiful cottage. The possition is extraordinary - Surrounded by tress within the nature reserve overlooking the most wonderful landscape. Thank you to the owners and to the gardener who met us and showed us the cottage and gave us great local walking tips, caugettes and salad from the garden. Yes the track is an adventure but was drivable in our hire car. It feels remote and isolated whilst being so close to lovely villages with excellent local shops. I rarely want to return somewhere but I felt 5 days was too short and want to return to this very very special place. To add It was very clean and well appointed and just beautiful.......
