Positive: The breakfast buffet was great, amongst the best I've ever been offered in a hotel. The restaurant also serves some very good meals at lunch and in the evening. The fact that the reception offered free tea and coffee was icing on the cake. The staff were friendly, everything was fresh and clean, the daily operation of the hotel appeared to be in good order. The hotel is very convienently located for travellers, next to the city's main TGV (high speed train) station.

Negative: The WiFi was unreliable (I suspect it needs upgrading), the plumbing occasionally sang, and Beijing has a mosquito problem (to be fair, I mentioned none of this to the hotel management). My other problem was that few staff spoke English, and my attempts at speaking Mandarin were at best embarassing, so we required the use of automatic translators to communicate. Fortunately for me, the exception was one of the chefs, so I had no problem exploring the menu under his guidance.

Summary: A good choice for a break in the Chinese capital.

Positive: Oh my goodness the bed and pillows and blanket were soooo comfy. We had planned to maybe walk around after we arrived, but the beds called us to take a nap. This hotel was great for sleeping off jet lag! Breakfast was good.

Positive: This hotel exceed our expectations, the room, the general areas and the breakfast were all spot on. But what really was awesome was the helpful front desk staff, Mr Kim (?) on duty 5th evening and Mr Kai Shang on 6th morning.

Negative: Nothing !
