De Reus van Horebeke is a restored windmill from 1816. The interior is sober and quiet, but with all modern amenities and a well-equipped kitchen. Families will have a wonderful time here! Pets are also allowed on holiday.
Horebeke is known for its panoramic views, extensive meadows, a number of wind and water mills, but also for the Geuzenhoek (Korsele) with its Protestant community and the old cemetery. The 150-year-old protected weeping beech with a circumference of 5 m and a memorial stone of William I are well worth a walk. In Oudenaarde you can go to the town hall or the MOU. Bicycles can be arranged.
The mill has a garden of 1300 m², completely protected by a hedge. There is parking space for 3 cars and bicycles can also be stored safely here. There is a terrace with a barbecue where you can end the day with a glass of wine.

Summary: Goede en hartelijke ontvangst door Diane, heerlijke ruime tuin en ruimte om de molen. Rustrijke omgeving. Voor het uiterlijk wel jammer dat de molen momenteel geen wieken meer heeft (in tegenstelling tot de foto's)

Summary: We kunnen niet anders zeggen dat Diana ons meer dan prima ontvangen heeft. Er stond zelfs een krat met lokale biertjes klaar om uit te proberen. Ook heeft Diana ons voorafgaand per email keurig voorzien van diverse tips. Erg netjes en nogmaals dank Diana! De accommodatie is dat wat je ervan mag verwachten. Echt een oude molen met een unit als aanbouw met keuken en was faciliteit. Er waren hier en daar wel een paar kleine gebreken, maar dat heeft ons verder niet gestoord.

Summary: Mooie en rustige omgeving alsook op acceptabele rijafstand van wat grotere steden als Brugge en Gent. Karakteristiek verblijf in een (voormalige) molen met standaard voorzieningen en een ruime tuin. Voor families met kleine kinderen en/of honden ook fijn dat de tuin omheind is. Tot slot een vriendelijke en behulpzame beheerder, met veel tips over praktische en bezienswaardige zaken in de nabije omgeving. Wij hebben een fijne week gehad in de Reus van Horebeke!

Summary: Alles uitstekend geregeld door gastvrouw Diane, zeer attent en zorgzaam. De molen is prachtig, keuken en badkamer prima voorzien. In de omgeving genoeg dingen om te doen, meeste wel in de buitenlucht.

Summary: Unieke uitvalsbasis om deze fantastisch mooie regio te ontdekken. Erg leuk met de kinderen, slapen tussen de oude houten raderen van de molen. Wegens de strenge Corona normen was een persoonlijke ontvangst onmogelijk maar desalniettemin werd door de fijne gastvrouw Diane alles in het werk gesteld om ons goed en 'persoonlijk' te ontvangen! Twee dagen op voorhand gepolst naar onze noden, verwarming stond ruim op tijd op, een krat lokaal bier stond buiten koud en een telefoontje na aankomst om te vragen of alles naar wens was.

Summary: De Reus van Horebeke is een waar paradijsje, met rust en ruimte in een geweldige omgeving. Heerlijk voor lezers, schrijvers, wandelaars, fietsers (vooral wielrenners), maar ook voor ontdekkers van mooie streekbiertjes en knap verstopte lokale, authentieke restaurantjes, waar de buitengewoon gastvrije eigenares Diane je alles over kan vertellen! Ook met huisdieren een aanrader, niet in de laatste plaats dankzij de fijne grote tuin.

Summary: Charmante molen met fijne tuin. Rustig gelegen in de velden en op een paar kilometer van winkels, frituren, bakker etc... Door de steile trappen niet echt geschikt voor jonge kinderen. Er zijn twee verdiepen waar je kan slapen, er zijn geen deuren tussen, dus het geheel is nogal gehorig.
