Summary: This beautiful 125 year old church has been remodeled for a fabulous vacation. The building is old and the original character remains but there was more than enough bedrooms, bathrooms kitchen space and entertainment area's. The owners have provided everything needed to make our time there comfortable and fun. The home is located within walking distance to the bay and many antique, coffee and ice-cream shops. I was especially grateful the air conditioner kept us cool for such a large old building. I and my entire family highly recommend the "Holy Hideaway" to everyone regardless of your feelings about religions. It is very welcoming and beautifully remodeled to provide a perfect getaway.

Summary: Huge renovated church, tons of character, fitted out beautifully with antique furniture, great kitchen tools and accessories, even a high quality foosball table. We brought a part of nine spanning three generations and a pair of dogs, and never felt on top of each other. Most BRs have super comfy kings and there were so many bathrooms you never had to wait for anyone to get out for you to get in. Short walk to restaurants and attractions on Sturgeon Bay's east side, five minute drive (or a beautiful walk if the weather was nicer) to 3rd St/west side amenities. Hosts respond instantly to questions. And the building is lovely and historic! Hope we will be back soon!

Summary: We rented this place for a weekend up to Door County with friends, and it was a highlight of the trip. Lots of common space to hang out, eat, and play games. The converted church was such a neat backdrop to the weekend, would definitely recommend.

Summary: This is a great rental for a large group. There was lots of room upstairs and downstairs. Very quiet and comfortable. Lots of bath rooms. A glitch in getting check in info.

Summary: I was scared I'd have to call our vacation off at the last minute as I broke my leg at the knee a few weeks before we were due to go but I communicated with the owners and they had handicap accessible ramp and I decided to go for it and it was super! We had family of all ages and I was able to wheel around the entire first level and enjoy hanging our with everyone. Loved the converted space and would definately recommend!

Summary: We had 13 people in our group and found Holy hideaway to be a good fit for our needs. The property is spacious, and everyone had room to spread out and do their own thing and not get in one another's way while still being able to come together at the same table for meals, games, and conversation. The hosts have thought of everything. There are enough chairs for everyone to sit around the fire pit, there is wood and kindling, and there are marshmallow forks. All you need to do is bring the marshmallows! Having two kitchens turns out to be fantastic with a large group - plenty of room in the fridge for leftovers from your trips to the great restaurants in the area.

Summary: This property was everything the owners advertised on VRBO. The home was ingenious- so many clever and appealing rooms created from a former church. Plenty of towels, good sheets, toilet paper, (nice smelling!) soap in every bathroom and kitchen, and lovely decorating details accompanied a beautiful, but not fussy, home. A real plus was the actual separation of the downstairs rooms from the upstairs rooms, so our younger (and louder) family members could be themselves with their parents without disturbing the adults who came without children. Our family loved being there. We'd like to thank the hosts as well for taking the time to create a book of excellent ideas of places to eat, visit, and how to care for the house. Our time there was pretty magical thanks to your home.

Summary: There were 13 family members plus 2 dogs staying at Ben and Jen’s place for a week. We had a great time. With 7 bedrooms and 5 baths everyone had their space. We cooked almost everyday and the kitchens were well stocked. The location was perfect. Easy to get anywhere by car or walking. The county has a wonderful YMCA . My children enjoyed the beaches in the city Sister Bay, and Cave Point park. Door Peninsula Winery has free tasting . All in all we had a great time! Ben was very helpful and communication was easy! 😊
