A family resort with the classic Mediterranean design provides elegantly decorated rooms and the magnificent view of Aegean Sea.
Our house consist of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen and a spacious living room which is equipped with all modern comforts.
The resort also provides free parking , BBQ and Free WiFi.
The beach is just 5min. on foot also also swimming from the rocks just below the house. For those who don't want to cook, there is a traditional Greek restaurant 150m. away from the house.
If you don't have a car, you can take the bus from the bus station which is 100m. away from the house and go to all the beaches or to Ermoupoli which is the town of Syros.
Syros is situated in the center of the islands of Cyclades and is the capital. It provides Hospital, Market, Casino etc.
It takes 3.30 hours to get there from Piraeus by ferry. There are also daily flights from Athens.The Airport is 10min. away from our resort.
Ermoupoli is the capital of Syros and has a very interesting architectural structure.
The Town hall was made by the very famous architect Tsiller. Who also constructed Apollon theatre which is
a micrography of the Scala of Milan. Furthermore one of El Greco’s most popular pieces of art, Kimisi tis
theotokou can be seen there. Miaouli square is surrounded by several neoclassical buildings .
The archeological museum is house inside the Town hall and one can admire a number of findings.
Several festivals, theatrical performances and concerts take place throughout the year.
There are many taverns and restaurants with traditional Greek food .
And if you want to stay out late at night and have a few drinks there are several clubs you can go to and have

Summary: Syros is a moderately sized island in the Cyclades chain of islands. Megas Gailos is great place to be on the island. A 20 minute drive from Ermoupoli. The local beach is an 8 minute walk from Elsa’s place. We were two couple so one couple took the upper floor the other the main floor. Well equipped kitchen. We spent a great deal of time at the local beach where you can rent an umbrella and two lounges fir as little as €15. Local restaurant delivers to the beach. Elsa made excellent restaurant recommendations and you should try and go to them. They include dinners on a beach, dinner in the heights of the hills - restaurant Plakostroto (order the rooster) to nice town tavernas. Will recommend this accommodation to others.

Summary: A wonderful place to stay. A welcoming holiday house. Has everything you need including views across the water. Loved spending the early evenings enjoying glass of wine on top terrace enjoying views and sunset before walking to a local taverna for dinner. Local beach is good for an afternoon swim but we enjoyed driving to different beaches …. Our favourite were Galissas and Agathopes beaches. We ate at The Talaras several times (5 mins walk) but our absolute favourite was Ampela (15 mins walk, last 100m is along cliff top so explore in day time first if scared of heights) which was on the beach and served the best food. You will love Syros!

Summary: We have been renting villas for many years & this has been one of the best. It is very well equipped and has four bedrooms & 3 bathrooms. We like to cook and loved having a barbecue as well as all the facilities in the kitchen. All our queries and requests were quickly resolved by Lousy who looks after the villa. There is a lovely beach at Megas Gialos for morning swims and a good local taverna. Syros is a super island with great beaches and friendly people. Vassilis and Ann who own the nearby Villa Petros another lovely villa helped us when we needed a dentist. I would throughly recommend this villa & Elsa the owner replied to all our emails and queries promptly.
